How to Shrink partition in windows 7/8/10

Partitions on the computer’s hard drive must be easily configured by the user. The hard drive can be partitioned to facilitate data storage
Extreme care must be taken when shrinking partitions. Let’s see how to shrink partition in windows 7/8/10

  • Press Windows + R and open Run
  • Then type “compmgmt.msc” and press Enter
  • Now click on “Disk Management

  • Now right click on the partition you want to Shrink and go to “Shrink Volume
  • Now enter the size of the partition you want to shrink (Note:-Enter the size in “MB” here)

  • Now the partition is an Unallocated Partition and right-click on that partition and click on “New simple volume“.
  • Click “Next
